Heavy rain and wind in Edinburgh right now, but I'm in a lovely warm office until 16:30 so dont need to worry about it till then.

10pm, 20C, 82% humidity, wind 3km/h NNW.

This counts as chilly enough to break out my leather jacket, which at least makes it feel a bit more Christmassy. I'm screwed if we ever move back to the UK.

(To be fair, we get battered by half a dozen typhoons a year, so this is in no way saying that this is a great place to live for weather

That sucks, are you normally transported by chopper?

Yea, we crew change by helicopter. I'm not due off until January anyway, but some of the guys were due home yesterday.

It's ok here atm, expecting power outages over Christmas Eve and Day though, friend of mines husband works for NI Electricity and say's all leave has been cancelled (they're on call rather than having to report to work though).
