Barebones systems: What exactly comes with them?

Just built this and some thing is wrong.

There's no video output (using the onboard AND a GPU). The power supply is definitely powering the system because the HDD / DVD are spinning up.

I've tried reseating the CPU to no avail.

I've a really strange feeling that it's the motherboard / CPU combination. It's listed as a 1066/1333 motherboard and the CPU is 800FSB (although it's listed in their supported CPUs for that board).

Any ideas?
 
I just swapped a P4 into the system and it has the exact same problems.

I guess that means it's a motherboard problem?

Oh damn, I'm too used to automerging.

Mobo supports all the processors you've tried even Q6600

Try resetting CMOS

Check all cables are plugged in & nothings loose

Try with 1 RAM stick, i.e. with the bare essentials

EDIT: You could also test CPU & RAM on your other mobo (D975XBX2)
