Managed to order this on Sunday from Curry's following this

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/cur...ed-tv-949-1260043?page=2&jc=true#post14966459

Due to a glitch on curry's website a 20% discount was being allowed to be applied to TVs that it shouldnt have. Anyhow i managed to sneak through and apply the code before they clicked on and my order has gone through and confirmed for delivery tommorrow.

£759 delivered for a 60 incher, is it worth it? or should i cancel and get the pana?

Was £1299 reduced to £949 with code £759

Was going to pick up the Pana VT30 50" 3D plasma for £800 from Justelectricals which was pointed out on another thread but then seen this.

Haven't seen a decent Sharp TV for years. I'd get the Panny personally.

Ah, the Panny looks to be an amazing set, plus 3d and better online services.

At £800 the Panasonic is more than half price too!

Just torn between the two, 60" is big!

Ive not heard any thing bad about Sharp and the few reviews ive seen about this set seem generally good apart from un-even backlight.

Well all I can say is that I will never buy another Sharp tv. I ended up with a noticeable grey line down the centre of the screen which is clearly a design fault. I googled the issue and there were loads of people suffering the same issue. When I contacted Sharp they were really dismissive and had the nerve to just offer me a 20% discount code on a new tv. I told them exactly what I said I my first line and that I would make sure I told as many people as I would never to buy Sharp again.
