You're paying for the fastest though, would love to see benchies in raid-0.

bad timing unfortunately - the X and the M range are reasonable in US$ but we are getting killed on the exchange rate

Hopefully the price will come down in the new year as these cards (especially the M range - MLC ones) really are in a league of their own - with any luck it'll force the other manufacturers to sort out the horrendous problems with the current gen of MLC cards.

The $ is the problem here. If we were still using a rate of $2 to £1, we could easily be selling these at £399.
