The model according to XP disk properties is Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 250GB ST3250620AS and it was deffo the 250GB I purchased. Before people suggesting talk to the shop, am I missing something obvious? It's a brand new Conroe build on a MSI 975X Power Up motherboard and there's no fancy raid or anything, just the single disk on it's own ribbon. Other than the capacity issue, it's a cracking HD like the rest of the system.

Thanks for any advice...

Upon inspection it's 127GB. I got the 137 from the Seagate website as it's a BIOS thing but that it set to auto. I'll pull the disk out and check for jumpers and the like.

I'm currently doing Windows Update and loading up SP2 to see if that helps. Curse these new builds and clean Windows installs.
