I have been thinking about asking one of the bartender out at Whetherspoons, i go in there for lunch and i am not sure but she seems that she might be interested. I asked her where she was from and did some small talk. I am not sure if i should ask her out for coffee, should i ask her if she likes coffee first as apart of a conversation? I've been reading up on a lot people say never ask bartender out as they never give out numbers because they get asked all the time. When i go in its usually quiet and i try make small talk. I still don't know her name so that's probably next question to ask, she is from italy but speaks great english and seems realy pleasant.

If you hold opinions so repellent that they should not be discussed in public, perhaps it would be best to revise them.

It is not that they are "repellent" is just that most people don't like talking about politics or such issues all the time. I will only discuss my opinions about such subjects if the topic comes up in discussion and people want to hear my opinion about it. Otherwise i risk coming across as some over zealous dogmatic loud mouth who no one would want to be around.

It just so happens that this forum often discusses such topics and i am quite opinionated otherwise if you met me you would never know that i am anti feminist anarcho capitalist etc.

freefaller, see my other response above.

Its more about what to say or what angle to take to be successful. I don't lack confidence in general, i am just rubbish at putting those sorts of conversations together. Some people are realy natural about it and i just not. Otherwise i am quite confident its messed up. I guess ill have to just try and make small talk and that casually just ask her out for coffee some time and see what she says. Ill try next time i go in there.

OP didn't progress with the Pret A Manger girl even with excellent guidance from myself and others. I expect nothing more to come of this one either.

e2: aha! another lucky groen lady venture
