I want to take an image of my laptop hard drive after I rebuild it for my sister as I will be getting a new PC.

I would like to use Bart PE to do this as this is 100% free, and it requires no installing.

I have downloaded the PE Builder and go to find my setup files for Windows XP Home Edition, it searches my entire system and comes back with nothing. It then asks me to insert my XP Setup CD in my CD Drive. I only have a recovery CD from Evesham. It has 'Windows XP Home Edition' with the Windows/XP Logo on it. But it has recovery CD written on it. Would this do the job???

Have you tried the disk? AFAIK the Evesham disks are just OEM XP CDs and should work fine for BartPE. But the easiest way to find out is to give it a try.
