If I think I know what you're on about. Go for Under Armor - they seem the best to me, that or North Face.
If you can get them anywhere from the states that'd be much cheaper
I'd I'm going somewhere very cold then I use howies or canterbury merino ones, but just for cycling and running in the UK then I've bought a load of cheap dhb ones from wiggle this winter.
I've got Under Armour, got it from Greaves Sports for £35, went for Under Armour as I wanted the neck covering as well otherwise others are just as good really.
I brought one on friday last week as im going skiing on thursday i brought a Helly Hansen dry long sleeve with zip at top for £32.99 from blacks outdoor wear. Looks well good!
I have both a HH Lifa Stripe crew and a DHB Compton.
I actually bought the DHB first because it's cheaper and I wasn't sure if I like wearing a base layer (£15.99 include delivery on wiggle). Then got a HH Lifa Stripe crew from chainreactions (£21.99 including delivery) because I'm wearing a base layer more than I thought.
To my surprise, the DHB is better than the HH one. The HH keeps me just as warm as the DHB but the moisture control on the DHB is way better.
I think it's something to do with DHB using some fancy bamboo charcoal fibre.
Under Armour is what i have, picked up a few from Canada when i was there over xmas and they were dirt cheap. Keep me warm and sweat free...brilliant gear if you can get them
