Base-spec Mac Mini as HTPC?

Is there any point going for the higher-spec Mini for use as an HTPC?

I'm assuming the RAM is an easy user-upgrade so going from 2GB to 4/8GB would be simple and cheap to do myself if required.

I can't see the slightly better processor and graphics chip making a noticeable difference to video playback but I thought I'd double check.

If I can save £170 it would be a bonus.

What do you reckon?

I've got the i7 Radeon one as a HTPC in the lounge with a superdrive connected.

It doubles up as my main PC which is why I went for slightly better specs. I'd imagine for 99% of things the i5 is more than enough.

I'm super happy with mine, its effectively totally silent unless I have it doing video conversion.
