Hi everyone. I have just purchased a van to primarily use for taking my bikes to trackdays. I don't really want to be using this as my commuting vehicle (for which I have a bangernomical pug 406 hdi that serves the job perfectly) but I dont know if I can afford/justify another full price insurance policy as I am already paying for three bikes on two policies and two cars on a policy each...

Do you guys know of any kind of limited mileage/use policies that would be of any use to me? It would literally be used for taking the bikes to track and the odd pick up a sofa run! Thanks in advance.

Dont no of any special policy's but have you tryed them multi car policy s from admiral and others . May be a way of making things cheaper.

I have also tried my insurance company (AA) and they cant add it due to being a van.. I need one policy to cover all my needs really, I sort out the mrs' insurance needs too, she has a bike and a car and I have my bikes and car and now a van (read Dingle wagon) so it is starting to get complicated!

How about getting a towbar and trailer on the 406 instead?

Edit: sorry just realised you've already bought it.

I have a towbar already on the 406 but I have had friends followed home and bikes taken on a few occasions so I am hesitant to use one. The van was also cheaper than a decent trailer!

Get it on one of them policies where they put a black box on and restrict the mileage/time of use?
Came here thinking that you are about to show off your track prepped van :p
