Hey guys,

Thought I'd come here again after buying my first computer earlier this year and now my brother wants one built! And also I'm not exactly sure if everything I have drafted up in my spec works with each other and you guys know a lot more now me so you can suggest better builds - last time I was on here I got a few different spec's suggested that were slightly better than my draft.

Anyway my brother wants to spend £400-450, and primarily wants it for gaming - doesn't need any extras like a good sound card or blu-ray drive... Not sure if the PSU I picked was enough and wasn't sure if the motherboard was compatible with everything.

Any changes/suggestions?

Thanks guys!

Look's pretty good to me, very cheap for what you get. Free games too.

I tried to fault your build, and I couldn't. PSU would be plenty for that rig, I don't think that rig would even draw 260W under full load. Mine only draws about 320W and thats 7970/3570k.

Does he not need an operating system?

Quite a big jump to a 7870 in terms of price.

If you can get the 2GB version of the 7850 in budget then that would be the better choice.

The newer i3 3220 is also slightly faster than the older 2120 for the same price.

Wow

Wow thanks guys for the suggestions! So prompt and you make my job easy! I just need to ask my brother if he's more keen on nearer £400 instead of going out a bit more for a better performance. Thanks Lee for setting up the basket as well!

Thanks once again guys!
