My brother is wanting a new PC and has asked me to try and build him one. Originally he was going to buy a pre-built Hewlett Packard but thankfully I talked him out of it.

Now his budget is around £400 though I'm sure that can be stretched by a few more pounds if needed.

The current PC is being used by himself and his Girlfriend for wireless internet connection, Microsoft Office packages and a few kids games for their young daughter and son.

They are also wanting a 19inch or higher flat screen monitor to go along with it.

Now here's a system I've tried to assemble that is around the price they want to pay:

only thing I am not sure about is the PSU, which I have not included. If anyone can recommend me a PSU that would go perfectly with the above system I'd be really greatful.

Components needed:

CPU
Motherboard
Memory
Hard Drive
Monitor
Case
PSU
DVD Dual Layer Writer

________

what are your thoughts on the above PC and where could I improve on it, save a bit of cash or maybe try something else?

Thanks in advance

Tried to go for a DDR3 system in case they want to bung a decent processor in at any point, graphics card can be removed...
