I hate mobile phones. I have it purely for txt notifications whilst out of the office and for business use in the office. I probably spend about £20 in top ups a year

It would be handy though for me to access an admin page on a website so I could really do with a new phone which allows www browsing.

I looked at this a few years ago and it was ridiculously expensive for the small amount of use I would make of it. I don't see why I should pay £££ for a phone and ££ per month if I only use it now and again!

But now T-Mobile have web n walk, and Orange have other ordinary (non SPV) phones which do the trick to.

So what's the cheapest option available for someone like me who doesn't talk much :D

Here's the requirement:

1. WWW Browsing with ability to access php type login scripts (Note: I tried the phone test feature on tmobile site and some of the scripts would not work). Require 30mins access (low data transfers) about once a week.

Ideally best size screen available as I have some onscreen forms to update.

2. 3G modem capability to connect to laptop via USB or wifi. Data transfer of 10Mb in one day about once a month.

3. Sftp / ssh port access (I read a tmobile thread on here which said some ports were some ports are blocked).

What's good at the moment?

N95 is way over the top as is the K800i with mp3 and goblin teasmaid.

Argos have half price K610i. Will that do the stuff above? What would be the monthly wnw and modem costs?

I think some of the script problems are due to cookies / sessions. I don't know if this is the tmobile emulator demo causing this or if the phone itself will have the same problem.
