Basingstoke Mini-Meet?

That FRP sounded lovely and that Alfa Romeo suprised me a bit, thanks for undertaking me lol - oh and the back of your car was trying to step out round the corner lol!

That was fun. Enjoyed that.

Looks like the BMW has better brakes than the FRP too. :P

just got in :) actually turned out alright in the end, nice vauge planning and nearly getting locked into wellington country park seemed to work out :p

and blimey is the m3 quick, was on full wack at the top end of third and it just seemed to effortlessly pull past! impressive.

Hope everyone managed to get home safely, sorry i didn't really get to say good bye to all

Just got back safely. No replies about being blown away by the Chevette's turn of speed yet though;). I agree about the M3 though, just suddenly zoomed off at times.

Cheers everyone for a good night :) Thanks for the entertainment sam , enjoyed drifting around that roundabout ;)

Was fantastic fun evan tho i managed to nearly bin it on a long winder over a crest, really didnt think she would hold on but yet again the car has suprised me again. Had a proper **** pant moment on the way home tho :o :( :p

Cheers All

Sam

I think he was behind me most of the time, certainly don't recall him overtaking me.

Just after the roadworks from Old Basing to Hook I was going flat out till 5th gear then backed off and you guys just trailing off into the distance lol.

Sam, you almost had an accident?

After I went I had to go to the cash machine in Tescos and some guy in a beemer pulled out in front of me cue me anchoring on!

Yea mate, entirley my own fault but somehow i managed to pull it off with no problems :)

Sorry if it appeared to be up your arse mate, really wanted to get past but there were hardly any overtaking spots :\

A good meet tho how come you left so early ?

Sam

Lol, I just didn't want you to be stuck behind me and to hear you roar past of course.

It was quite funny when you overtook me when we first set out from the AA building on the dually as I was giving the car it's all.

I was the passenger in said alfa... Ian was *hmmm theres someone trying to overtake me* followed by my thought of *yeah, your back-end!*

Tis a quick car though, alas the handling leaves a little to be desired compared to the FRP and MX5!!

Damn right its quick - what engine has it got?

We tried a few runs on the M3 from around 75-80 upwards, there really wasn't much between our cars..

Just got in. Looks like I am the last.

Great meet! I was suprised at the turnout considering the short notice. Sam did well with the route although luckily we made it out of that country park in time because we would still have been there now :D

The M3 was gorgeous and the Chevette was an intresting passenger ride.

Hopefully you can all make it to the RR next month.

Oh and the Alfa has a 2.0 16v TwinSpark engine, 150bhp and 8 seconds. It does the job although the handling is sometimes a bit dodgy :p
