[Basketball]Playoffs just started.

oooh I have a friend in the states that is a huge Cav fan, they lost to Spurs last year in the final so i bet she is well up for revenge !

except they won't even make the Eastern Conference final this year ;)

spurs will be out on monday too i suspect, the league has another genuine superstar in CP3 :) ....if anyone can win on the road in game 7 it's the spurs but i think i'll be vindicated monday night when i said at the start of the playoffs that the spurs will struggle to even make the final.

Spursto break the home winning trend on Monday night. Let's sit back and watch how a real team plays real D. The defence in game 6 was brilliant.

It's the Play-Offs so anything can happen, but honestly, I can't see it. If they win the next 2, they get to play the Pistons, are far more accomplished team that their current opponents (Celtics). Also, generally speaking, the East is weak, and even the #8 seed from the west would give the Cavs a good go.

Think chances of Cavs getting through is low,can see how Cavs can beat Celtic. Theres only so much LeBron can do, altho the rest of the team in the past two/three games have stepped up and helped him out. I'm more confident in Cavs beating Pistons than us beating Celtics.

Comeon Cavs!

lebron has had a couple of shockers in boston already and of course nobody else stepped up to help out, i genuinely think they had a stronger squad last year before the big trade this season.

but we're (boston) not exactly firing on all cylinders either, i look at detroit blowing orlando away and think it's going to be a close grinding eastern final. they have plenty of seasoned playoff performers and beat orlando away w/out billups....the only doubt with detroit is consistency and home court advantage is just the trump card which should help boston all the way, as long as there's no repeat of game 1 against the cavs when we were dire.

bigmouse - unless he has an off night you can't stop cp3, he's just too good ...even popovich admitted it. with the way he brings west and chandler into the game it's a massive ask unless the spurs can find a way to shut him down.

Was stunned when I looked at the scores this morning!

74 - 69!

Either some awful shooting on both sides or an awesome defensive lockdown :)

just finished watching the boston-cavs game, wow what a bruiser.

gotta give lebron his props, he really is an amazing talent .....celtics had their chances in parts but could never sustain the run and the cavs big men made the difference with some good D, even ben wallace looked alive :p We did however get a stupid charging call on against Pierce in the last minute which could have made a massive difference to the result if we had scored off the play ....home court refereeing??

watching lakers-jazz now, such a contrast ...no defense in the west apart from the spurs.

teams in the east actually play defense ;)

which is why i take no notice of the wests teams better record versus the east, and also why Boston had such a good record versus the West in the regular season.

don't automatically assume the winner will come from the west.

Not since D'Antoni was signed up by the Knicks :p

However I do see your point.

As for the Hornets they split their season games with San Antonio and Boston so could be very close when it comes to it :)

yeeaaa tough game but we managed to close it out, both Lebron and Pierce were just huge tonight.....Pierce just took over in the 3rd/4th qtr hitting some real clutch shots under pressure.

Ray Allen ...SOS where are ya bro? we need you back!!!

anyway bring on the bad boys from Detroit  what a series that's going to be.

can't wait for tomorrow nights match, CP3 to confirm his greatness ;)

!!!!

Spurs advance again :)

Unstoppable :D

However it appears that the Hornets thought making 3's and free throws really wasn't that important :(

Spurs - Hornets

39.5% 40.2% - FG%
42.9% 23.5% - 3PTFG%
90.5% 70.6% - FT%

Ouch :(

you can never write off the spurs like i said but the NOH choked it up big time, experience is king in the playoffs.

i just hate watching the Spurs they're the most boring clinical team ever and Duncan is such a moop but it wasn't to be.

i'll stick with the Lakers though, and Boston looked pretty comfortable against Detroit tonight so hopefully we will get that Celtics - Lakers Final after all :)

See, I like the boring stuff. That's what makes me go 'ooooooooooohhhhhh'. I watch Euroleague too, just because they play proper D and the flash stuff does nothing for me, there's nothing better than threading a pass through some proper D. I'm a pretty bland individual you might think, but I like all the fundamental stuff.
