Bass test/review

bass test video? you mean like those videos where the audio is all distorted and all you can see are speaker cones flapping backward and forward? LOL

Hey,

Tbh this type of speaker/system isn't my area, i have a separates system.

Just looking at the specs these wont give killer bass 90 watt rms, possible low sensitivity and small diameter cone with 50 hertz limit.

So these wont shift a lot of air and also might not even attempt low end bass under 50 hertz

From a quick google looks like these are generally well received but early batches had some issues.

So to sum up it depends how much bass you really want, i.e shaking the toilet seat upstairs or just the sound with little feeling/vibration

ps. Apologies if i have misread the situation with regards to bass = vibration, but i used to live with a lot of D'n'B types and we were of the school of bass = shaking the house rather than pure sound reproduction

Bass will be fine. The difference between those Labtec speaker and the Aego's will be huge. Everyone has their own opinion on what is good, or not, but there is no doubt the quality difference between what you have currently, and the Aego's will be significant.

The question about the Aego's bass would be more significant, if you currently had a set of 2.1 Logitech speakers. People that are used to booming bass, might find the Aego's would have less bass. The Aego's will have a better quality of bass though, less boomy. One problem I have found using various 2.1/5.1 speakers, is the satellite speakers don't sound as though they are connected to the subwoofer. It's not noticeable with games and films, but music, it sticks out like a proverbial sore thumb. While the Aego's will have what appears to some to be lesser bass, the overall sound will have a better balance, and balance is key to decent 2.1 speakers, especially if they are to be used for music.
