Bastion - action rpg

Great to see people still discovering Bastion, still need to get round to playing through again without saving Zulf!

Ive completed it once but continued on to finish off what I missed like the challenges n upgrades n stuff.

DO I need to start a new game to open it?

Just at the end of New Game +, and going to go for the Who Knows Where challenges with all the idols. Not sure I'll be able to do the Stranger's Dream, since that was pretty brutal near the end with no idols, but we'll see.

Now favouring brusher's pike and cannon over my usual load-out of musket and cannon. Only just discovered the pike's power and thinking this will be the key to helping my stranger's dream run.

Great game.

Kind of action hach'n'slash / shoot'n'slash / hammer'n'slash / hammer'n'shoot... you get the idea... with some RPG elements.

The RPG bit only really comes in as you do level up and you can upgrade weapons to select your own preferred load-out. Rather RPG-lite, but the action is pretty good, it looks excellent, and the whole well-told smoothly-narrated package is tied up in a nice bow.

I thought it was a quite remarkable bargain for the £2-something I paid for it.

lite-RPG's are the best at the minute in my opinion, thanks for the explanation, do you think though; as I'm watching a comedy show on my laptop at the minute, that I should wait until I'm not so I can concentrate on Bastion alone? Hmm
