QUICK TO THE INTERNET!

I've googled, I've had no luck.

I currently have a bat flying circles around my room... It came in through an open window but it does not seem to want to leave via the same means. I have tried to trap it in the room with two cats, however the cats got bored and cried to be let out.

I cant get into the room without having an Ace Ventura "they're in my hair!" moment, and I would quite like the bat to leave.

Any ideas?

What the hell is wrong with you? Maybe you should give your mum a ring or something? Man-child.

I often have bats visit me (live in the loft above) they generally come in fly around, say hello and go out again.

If not, then they usually sit on a curtain rail and watch me, then leave a bit later.

However, now and again you get one that by the time I want to go to bed, hasn't left and has out stayed its welcome.

In this case, a washing basket or a towel/sheet usually does the job to catch it, then it flies away and rejoins its mates, telling them what an awesome night it had.

Good luck :)

Seriously? You can't get a bat out of your room?

Throw a sheet over it!

I'd be careful posting that on a public forum. Bats are a legally protected species in the UK, so if the bat were to suffer injury and/or die due to you knowingly locking it in a room with two cats you'd be in breach of the Wildlife and Countryside Act.

Haha great advice, tell him to be careful yet quote what he's said

Same as those pesky black and white foxes ;)

Dress up as a moth, wait till it spots you then throw yourself out of the window. With luck it should follow you.

Cut your hair so it can`t hide in it and lay eggs then put on the 300 soundtrack, run in and kill it in a fist fight.

Actually laughed out loud at this part.

In honesty, though, if it's been in there for a long time and you need to be rid of it, throw a towel over it and put it out the window yourself. Carefully, obviously.
