Batch converting excel files to PDF - with a twist!

hey guys,

we have at work hundreds if not thousands of invoices in excel format. they are usually printed off onto pre printed template paper, so the excel file itself has no graphics, labels etc, just the data spaced correctly.

I need to convert them all to PDF, but i need them to look like they would if they were printed onto the template paper, if that makes sense.

Does any one know how i might go about this?

The only way i can see at the minute is to import the data into an access database, and make a report. however this would mean importing each file one at a time, then printing each report to a pdf creator one at a time?

does anyone know how to automate this or at least do each step as a batch of all the files?

Sounds like you may have to use a mail merge function to create a final document using a base template of your company header. After that use a pdf conversion program (I use PDF995 which works as a printer)

If you do the above you should be able to write a VB macro to do the job for you.

Adobe distiller should let you add a background. But mine doesn't seem to :\ (it used to).
