Batch delete all files

Hi all,

Im looking to create a batch or script file to delete all files in a specified folder (and all sub folders), but to leave the directory structure in tact.

Its basically to purge a temporary file storage area.

Start - Run - CMD

Navigate to folders through DOS

del *.*/s

yes - enter

would also suggest del /q /s <dir> but I take it you're done?

nope, it will be for a batch file to be run as a scheduled task

what does your one do

del /q /s \\viking\groups\scanning\*.*

if it doesn't like UNC paths (can't remember if it does or not), then map that drive as say V:\

net use v: \\viking\groups\scanning\

then you can

del /q /s V:\*.*

just tested it and unc paths are fine. thanks to everyone for their help
