I have nearly 100 continous mix albums in WAV format, all in the form of individual tracks. I know how to combine all individual tracks to one single file via foobar, what I want to do however is batch run the lot.

I.e. If the foorbar file list shows;

DJ X - Album Y - Track 01
DJ X - Album Y - Track 02
DJ X - Album Y - Track 03
DJ A - Album B - Track 01
DJ A - Album B - Track 02
DJ A - Album B - Track 03

I would like two resulting single files, DJ X - Album Y and DJ A - Album B. This would save me doing each album individually?

Ideas? Other software maybe?

Just sox playlist.pls out.wav will do it. Or if in folders just sox *.wav out.wav if your files are all in a folder

You can script it with batch if you want more complex.

what is the file names?

just sort by name and move the one dj in to a folder and combine those with foobar?

if you had to sort by album which was within the filename. I would use total commander multi rename tool to remove the first part of the filename and then just sort the files by name and select them and put them in to next software.
