I noticed some moisture dripping from the vent into the bath so I've just been up into the loft to have a gander. We had it fitted in 2009 and the ducting is a bit minging to say the least. The fan is a Manrose 25652 which came up as a showerlite one when I searched but we dont have the light just a beige coloured facia.

The ducting is just attached to the facia (don't know what the technical term is for this!) in the loft to the fan and then from the other fan end to the plastic ducting going up to the roof where it expels. It's just the basic white plastic ducting so should I just replace it with the same (think it's 4")? The fan is also pretty mucky so what's the best way to clean that? Same way as you would a PC fan?

I'll take a crawl up there again later and take some pics which I hope will explain better!

If you've got moister dripping from the vent, it sounds like you will have condensation build up within the ducting, which is dripping back to the vent. Assuming the fan & vent are similar to mine (also a manrose), you're probably best replacing the hose if it's that mucky (probably held on with a cable tie at each end), and probably with an insulated one (helps prevent the water condensing in the ducting) (this is assuming the vent passes through an area outside the insulation layer of the property (e.g. above the loft insulation)). Make sure you turn the fan off (there is most likely an isolation switch) to make sure it doesn't get turned on whilst you're cleaning it, then you can clean it like any other fan.
