2 small bathrooms we used glue down LVT by Karndean. 2.5mm thick from memory so it needed a good flat base, used 5.5mm ply on top of floorboards then smoothed the gap with self leveller. Still looking good 2.5 years later all self installed after getting hilarious quotes from local floorers.

What about the composite luxury vinyl planks, with water resistant underlay underneath, plus a layer of normal waterproof vinyl or some additional waterproof membrane (which would soak anything else up?)

Almost going to do a purchase on the flooring.
Iv measured bathroom and looking at pack sizes of the composite bnq good home flooring, although they reccomend the underlay as 2mm
I want to use exactly 2mm or close as possible... However all they have on sale is 1mm which imo is too thin. I want something durable and that will insulate, or they have 2.2mm and they don't reccomend this.ans will void any gaurentee
Is there any brand or what ever that people go for, for underlay ? Don't want it to thin (IE 1mm). I want 2mm XPS waterproof underlay

I'm looking for a separate underlay if possible as I would like to separate lvt from the floor. That does look nice although I need to spend vouchers and bnq for flooring .I don't mind getting the underlay from somewhere else though so I have a nose around

In my flat I've got this stuff called ISOMASS which is a rubber layer on top of flooring with a gap underneath. I can't just lay laminate or anything on the rubber. You reckon fitting 5.5mm plywood to bathroom would work ok?
I just don't know how to secure/fix the plywood on to this rubber stuff
Apply the finish floor surface on top of Impact Mat given due regard for the following. Carpets, Timber laminate panels and vinyl coverings can be placed directly over the Impact Mat 100 with an appropriate interlayer (as selected by the flooring contractor). All mechanical penetrations through the Impact Mat should be avoided e.g. A finished solid timber floor would commonly be pinned to a min. 12mm plywood interlayer.

See i said this to someone and they said wouldn't it move. Nothing to hold it down. Can't glue it down to the rubber. It's all loose as I don't think whoever laid this laid it to the specifics in the isomass documents
Click lvt is a floating floor. It doesn't fix down

Dang, 2yrs ive been living on this rubber flooring and I could have just laid some click lvt down. No underlay required?
You can buy it with integrated underlay.
