Bathurst Tonight!!!!

Woohoo! MotorsTV has appeared on channel 71 this evening as if by magic and it works.
I thought I was going to be watching solo, pizza and pants style, until I mentioned V8s, which is when the gf announced that she would be joining me, in her pants :D
 
Motors TV tells me that my device supports the service but needs to be connected to the internet. So I connected my ethernet cable from router to my Technika freeview HD box, switched to channel 240 which is the HD channel, but it gives me a CrC error then reboots then goes back to standby. I guess it's not compatible. As it happens though, channel 71 is giving me the channel in SD so at least I can watch it. Decent picture, just not HD.
 
240 is the streamed channel that's been available for a while now for certain receivers. 71 is the 'normal' channel which has only become available this week. There is no HD channel.
 
Ah, I see. I saw it as available on freeview HD so assumed it was being streamed in HD. i'm not missing anything then.

What I was trying to say is that the channel 71 (in SD) is only available to Freeview HD receivers as it's on the same HD multiplex as BBC Four HD that got created when analogue was turned off.

Original Freeview receivers like the one built in to my 7 year old Panasonic telly that's in the bedroom can't get to Channel 71, or the shopping channel on 64.
 
I've noticed it a lot with Motors and always assumed it was an issue with the internet stream and my hardware. Disappointing that it's still an issue. You don't really notice it when the racing is on though
 
Yeah not many lips to sync with, but why?

And 50mins still start, likely to be asleep by then.

And I want a trike, specifically with no fairings and a big ass smoker on the back.
