Batman Begins

Very good film, apart from the camera work during the fight scenes, I was hoping to see some of the action...

Quoted for the truth, i mean, seriously, Batman could've been tickling them senseless for all we knew, i've never seen any fighting scenes camera work that bad since, and that includes the Bourne Ultimatum.

I'm shocked none of you have mentioned how bad the new batmobile looked, it looked diabolical!

Other than that not a bad film :p

No way, the Batmobile was awesome, the fact that it was a working vehicle just made it even better.

I liked it more because it was more realistic. It showed how they bought the things without arousing suspicion and all the gear was real-life type stuff, but adapted for his needs. I also like the way wayen was trained with the ninja's, makes it a bit more believable how he runs around and does half the stuff he does.

It was darker and dirtier than previous ones too, which was great for the atmosphere of the film. The new batmobile was immense, the old ones looked cack, blue neons and crap all stuck to it... yeah, thats dark and bat-like

As for the camera work, it wasn't that bad. The fight scene in the bourne supremacy with bourne and the other agent in that apartment was the worst one ever, especially when they had such cool weapons as a pen and a rolled up magazine.

All in all, good film... Dark Knight should be good too hopefully.

I absolutely love this film. Infinitely better than all the other Batman films (barely worth worth mentioning, because it's so ridiculously out of all the other film's league) and I can't wait for the next one. The Joker is such a cool villain, and finally he's going to be portrayed properly in a film, with a very dark theme.

What and you don't think Jack Nicholson portrayed him darkly enough in the original?

This is gonna be a PG13 rated film, compared to the original where he was slitting throats and stuff...

Jack Nicholson played him brilliantly, but it doesnt portray him as a Mass Murderer, which is simply all he was.

Its a bit too slapstick in the older Batman films

I don't know really. They could have introduced all the extra realism and darkness without having to press the reset button on the franchise. If they were unhappy with Robin and Bat girl they could have killed them off which would have made an intense movie. I was sick of hearing yet again how someone killed Bruce's parents.

I think on its own its a good movie but as part of the franchise I think they should have stuck with the established continuity.

Do you feel the same way about the Bond franchise? As with Bond I think the Batman movies got so bad they really had no other choice than to restart from a fresh canvas.

Personally, I think Batman Begins is awesome and by far the best Batman movie to date.

I haven't seen the new bond one yet but generally regarding the concept yes. Even though Bond films don't have much if any continuity knowing it was a prequel of sorts put me right off watching it.

Designed and built in Britain after the Americans said 'We're not sure how to get the front wheel arangement working!!' then 'Its imposible!!.. it'll never drive correct.. let alone go round corners!!'... The British blokes said 'Yep we'll get it working!!.' and they did beyond anyones expectations!... it handles like a sports car and has a nice top speed (faster than the original ones!!)
Yup, build from scratch, and a REAL car.
They did a piece on it on Top Gear, pointing out that it was a totally genuine car, built from the ground up for the film.
Oh, and for the record, that teaser trailer has quelled any fears I had of Heath Ledger not being capable of filling Napier's shoes.
That laugh is EXACTLY maniacle and insane enough for me...

All I ask now is that Nolan tackle the Knightfall storyline in the next film...

heath ledger as the joker in the dark knight could be interesting, batman rocks!
Christian bales rocks and christopher nolan is prolly one of my favourite directors. films like momento or the prestige are must see's in my eyes.

One of my favourite movies. cant wait for the next one, itching to see Joker

are they casting a Harley Quinn?

Also kudos to Bale for his weight loss-gain-loss-gain regime : think he did the Machinist, then Batman begins, then the vietnam POW film whose name I forget, then The Dark Knight.
