Batman: Gotham Knights.

What happened? How did we go from Arkham Asylum 2009, Arkham City 2011, Arkham Knight 2015 and Return to Arkham Remastered, Asylum and City 2016 be so good to this?

I'll always love Arkham Asylum for its dark, gritty and grunginess. The atmosphere was soooo good.
Agreed. But at the same time that was the batman series. The idea is this isn't Batman, it's a new take inside the Gotham world.

Hoping things settle down after a patch or two, it's one I deffo want to try

I loved Arkham City and Arkham Knight.

The whole series is just fantastic, so hopefully this gets patched at some point. I can't even play it on PS5 as it's locked to 30 FPS.

So was the fight mechanics and all the combos. I've never finished City yet nor Knight but I was so engrossed with the Arkham Asylum world. I loved how dark and mysterious it was and some of the stealth missions.

Plus you could feel the weight to the fighting.

Best game in the series for me.
One of the few games I completed on the hardest difficulty and did all the challanges.

I loved batman arkham series but gotham knights is far below par. it is the dc version of the avengers flop and for the power of ps5 and my gaming rig looks barely better than ps4. I found it predictable, it is more a side kick simulator or alfred sim where instead of feeling important you feel your doing batman's dry cleaning runs.

As others I'd almost rank them in order they came out. I loved Asylum over the rest. The non-respawn on the mobs was great. The puzzles and Riddler challenges were amazing. Arkham City was another great game. Bigger challenges, but the mobs constantly respawning ruined the atmosphere a little bit. Arkham Origins and Knight were okay. The combat just didn't feel as good though possibly down to sound effects more than anything, but they weren't bad games.

I've only played around 20 minutes of Gotham Knights. At the moment the game runs absolutely fine but I have no feeling or empathy for the characters what-so-ever. It's not a bad looking game. It's just designed to break immersion or at least that's how it feels. By that I mean you get on the bike for the first time, and it starts driving for you. At the end of the first 'boss-ish' battle you head to the door, and it cuts away. It just feels clunky which is a bit of a shame really. The 'AR' is really poor as is the AR for finding targets.

Arkham Series are some of my favorite games, but this is, unfortunately, a major let down.

Played it for 2 hours.

Pretty rubbish so far. Bike is absolutely crap and no sense of speed. Combat is really samey and the general atmosphere from all the previous Arkham games is completely missing.
