Batteries arnt normally covered by warranty anyway if that makes you feel any better![]()
How do you go about replacing the battery in the newer mbp's? Since its not easily removeable i guess most people would have to send it to apple?
He also advised that if I want to upgrade to SSD or add extra RAM, that I should do so - but to remember to switch it back to OEM parts if I need to get a repair so that Apple won't invalidate the warranty.![]()
It's not a case of invalidating the warranty, it's that Apple won't support the machine with non-Apple supplied parts in it. Seems reasonable.
Same applies to all the big PC makers. Keep the spare bits to one side and put them back in if it develops an issue.
