Hi,
I recently got an email for the hearthstone beta on battle.net from Blizzard and I thought I would give it a go tonight.
So I click on the email which opens and installer and installs the game, have to login to my battle.net account to play. Ok I expected this. Input my email address and password all fine. Then Authenticator code required, thats fine, grab my phone to come to the realization that crap I got a new phone and its not setup on here. Ok to the battle.net website to setup/remove the old authenticator.
On the website it asks you to input your email address, full name and that's it. Error comes up stating that the email/name combinations does not exist. WTF. yes it does. Try a couple of more times and off course they decide to lock my account.
Here I am thinking is this really worth it. If it was just the beta I wouldn't give a toss but I have Diablo 3 and 2 starcraft games on there. Am I crazy for trying to log in to buy even more games from this stupid company or should I just stick with steam.
So what the next step, contact battle.net with a ticket without logging in. So what do I have to do to finish this. Secret question, I don't know I haven't logged-in in an age. Next step, a photo or scan of some photo id. What the hell is this, I have to take a photo of my driving licence to get into an account with some computer games on it. My bank has less security.
Just wanted to know if anybody else had had an experience with this and do you think its worth it, should I just swear of games from blizzard for ever more?
TL;DR Overzealous battle.net security. Cant log in. Really just wanted to RANT!
