Watched this for the first time over the weekend (and again on Sunday). Wow, what a film. :)

I don't usually like films with subtitles but they didn't affect this film at all. The film had a bit of everything in it and i especially liked the bits of humour. The gore was a little bit cartoony but overall it works.

What's Battle Royale 2 like? Is it worth a watch?

I'm going to have to catch up with more foreign movies in the future. I've not even seen The Ring yet. I'm thinking i should watch the Japanese original rather than the remake. There was also a film called Audition as well. What's that like?
 
No the sequals rubbish.

You don't like foreign films in their native language? :eek: I can't stand dubbed films. Crouching Tiger.... dub is the exception, damn funny it's so bad! :D

OK, i'll give it a miss then.

As much as i dislike subtitles, i'd never choose a dubbed film over a subtitled one.
 
the second BR is really poor likie, they just took the original concept and sorta glammed it up with loads of weapons etc, none of the kids are likable and it just generally blows!

the original ring is way better then the american one IMO, far scarier and way more involved with it being subtitled.
 
The director of BR died half way through making BR2 and his son took over, it is nowhere near as good as the original but still worth a watch.
 
Agreed BR is a really good film, and BR2 is pretty rubbish in comparision.

Audition is a sadistic film, it's a good film (pretty screwed up in places), but it depends if you can cope with that sort of thing. For some it would be too distressing.

Another film I watched yesterday was Brotherhood. Really good film. Think Saving Private Ryan and your pretty much there.
 
BR is a classic film. Taped Audition on sky+ a few nights a go and can;t wait to see it.

If you want a no holds barred crzy violent jap film then buy - VERSUS. One of the most ****** films in my collection but soo damn good :D

I've just watched this today. Absolutely superb film and definitely on a par with SPR.

I think i've been missing out by previously turning my nose up at subtitled, overseas films. :)
 
Im gonna have to watch BR again now, never a bad thing

these other films that are being suggested, what genres are they? horror, war etc etc?
 
love BR its just a film that grabs u by the dangleys and doesnt let go and there is one lovely lass in it thats just great cant remember her name but she was in kill bill as gogo :p aahhh found her name Chiaki Kuriyama ;)

Audition is a great film to watch, I've got Versus to watch tonight :D
