just watched the second one last night for the first time and it was really good with the very bad acting and really cool fighting and gore.

I laughed out loud when the teacher was giving a soldier a weird look and chewing on white bits and dribbling them out :p

I barely remember the 1st battle royle but if i remember correctly it was the best one :)

Fiar enough, I found it both enjoyable yet twisted, something that I haven't found in a film before. I'll admit that asian films will be rated higher because they're asian, Battle Royale would not be this popular if it was a HW film, then again that's because of the style, maybe it's not just the content that is important, but the way it's pulled off. Look at the new horror relases from HW, they have too much glamour and have this 'clean' feeling which makes it seem like a studio film, rather than the realism which comes with the image of BR.
