Never played a BF game before so I expect too suck hard but still going too get this Day one on PS4, looks like its crazy fun.
I'm tempted to pick up BF hardline for £4 on PSN to get back into BF games. But big question is does this have a sizeable single player campaign? As if so I'll be getting on PS4 to play the campaign and a few online games but mostly single player if it has any single player content.

All BF games have had a good campaign, I felt like Hardline was short but quite fun and gave you a lot of different choices in missions. Never finished BF4 as I had it when it sucked and gave up on it.
Still not going Day 1 after the last two iffy launches even if this does look incredible.

The first 4 BF games released never had a single player campaign.

LOL you couldn't be more wrong. There was no campaign in BF2, it was just the multiplayer mode with bots. Same with Battlefield 1942, Battlefield Vietnam and Battlefield 2142.
The first one to have a proper story line was bad company. You obviously aren't old school enough to have played the early games

1942 didn't have bots either (without mods).
How long is it at that price for? I might get it too, but my PS4 is away for a week.

I don't know parts feel really dumbed down from what I have seen. Like spawning in tanks and enemies can not steal tanks from enemy bases for example. Also the plane warfare is a spawn type affair too. You should have to take off from the ground as that was part of the challenge!

Until the 29th June I think... I purchased it, and its ok, its nothing special. It actually seems to be a better game when you play it tactical and stealth /sniper mode it, then going in all hard, which is ironic considering its game title.
Game encourages you to make arrests and look out for warrant arrests which you won't be doing it you just go in and take the hardline and shoot the place up.. hmm and its maybe not that long either, I spent 3 hours, did as much as I could and got to episode 6 out of 10 in that time..
With this is mind, and comments about past BF single player content, I might be giving this game a skip, wait and see what the public say about single player content before I buy it..
Say what you will about COD games, least they offer some form of single player, and the past few COD games have had fairly sizeable single player content, even COD MW1 being short, it was a great story to play...

Will definitely pick this up, just need to get the best deal. Another for the ps4 group
Hardline is a battlefield game in the name only.
It was made by Visceral for EA using the battlefield name. I believe DICE helped with the multiplayer, but it's not enough to save it.
Next year's battlefield release will probably be Hardline 2 so enjoy Battlefield One all you can because the next proper battlefield game won't be a while. THe next game after Hardline 2 could end up being another Battlefront game.
