The only reason I'd play this on PC is for mouse and keyboard, I'm just awful with a controller when playing multiplayer FPS games. I haven't played a PC game in years now (other than Football Manager), and I guess my gaming habits have just changed to the point where I tend to only play single player games (with the exceptions of sports games and Rocket League). Still, this game looks amazing so I'm looking forward to trying it out.

As the closed alpha has just taken place, is there any information about a closed or open beta and how to sign up for it?

Beta? From what I hear if you buy the full game then come release you will be participating in the fully paid open beta just like BF4

I hope the open beta is soon, I am eager to try this game it looks absolutely amazing.

If ya look at the top of this page frodders has posted a link for the battlefield insider program which could get you early access to the beta.

Open public beta coming shortly after Gamscom which is 18th of august. (So say another 5-6 weeks away)

I believe it starts closed then later on becomes open. So no worries about getting in really.

Yep, this. You'll never struggle to get a full game on the main game modes such as conquest, TD or Domination. The others can be hit and miss really, but they suck anyway.

Yes, if you sign up to Battlefield Insider you can then pick your platform for a code.
