Provided its not "future warfare" I'll buy into any era, including modern.

Nothing futuristic though.

Would love WW2

You ever play 2142? Not stupid cod future but more a realistic future. Used to love being ejected out of a pod launcher onto a titan and battling it out!

My problem with WW2 is there is not enough variety in the weaponry and vehicles.

I was a massive fan of Vietnam though. Being able to use hueys to drop tanks etc into the battlefield brought a whole new dimension to the game.

Really wanting it to be Bad Company 3, but even Dice/ EA, said they don't know what it was that made that game so good.

It's going to be the exact same game again though isn't it. The engine is awful.

Would be great, more if the maps had the scale. Then you could have a bit more varied gameplay than two guys in jets raping everyone on the tiny maps like BF4.

I was joking but as everything else seems to be going down that route and destroying the series it wouldn't surprise me.

seems to be a lot of support for the ww2 theme to return. i suspect the limited infantry weaponry (what with people these days being used to countless weapons. most of which are very similar..or loads of pointless customisations of said weapons) will make that a non starter

Have you played battlefield 4 recently ? Dice LA did a load of work and it plays loads better than it did on release. The engine is fine, bF4 was just released unfinished. A load more here on the content of the Winter update that came in early 2015

I think a ww2 era game with upgrades maybe slightly unrealistic I.e. upgrade scope and barrel, stuff like that and non of this stupid appearing on radar when you fire a gun or sprint. I miss the big planes from 1942 wasn't there a 4 seater?

Really want BC3. Otherwise, 2143 would be my next choice, as long as the soldier movement in it were kept realistic with no exosuits flying around all over the place.
