*** Battlefield 1 ***

Put a fair few hours into this over the last couple of days. Im enjoying it overall but some things are REALLY ****ing me off.

Horses that can pretty much go anywhere (ie over rough terrain at full gallop or even up steep slopes with no speed penalty) are totally OP. Also horses health is utter BS too. I mean a direct sniper round from a powerful rifle at around 50m does rubbish damage (something like 30 on a rifle that should be doing 100 at that range). Even head on in the chest, its barely a scratch. Yet one grenade kills the horse and rider instantly, and a hit on the rider does high damage too. Just one example of how the damage and weapon balance systems dont feel right. I appreciate the horse is classed as a vehicle - but its not a tank. In a game that tries to give a 'realistic' experience I find it odd.

Pistols in this game are total gash. What is the point of having them if you have to use a full clip at point blank range to kill anyone and even then they tend to have 1-6 health left and as you have to reload they shoot you down with a machine gun in like 2-3 hits. The entire damage system and TTK seem totally messed up in this game.

Sniper rifles like the one you get at the start should be OHK weapons at close-medium range (up to 60-70m). Yet on a rifle that does 100 damage in the sweet spot - the game only awards 90 unless its a headshot, even at close range. Which makes you a sitting duck as your secondary weapon is completely useless as a scout. Im sorry but 2-3 pistol rounds in the chest should put a player down. Maybe im getting flaky netcode or something, but my success rate with pistol is less than 1 in 10 encounters.

But even with those gripes, I think its a cracking game. Frustrates the hell out of me at times but its enjoyable overall. :cool:
 
Hi folks. Anyone else having issues with losing their rank?

Happened to me twice now. I have exclusively been playing as scout. Today i got up to level 3. Went to buy a new rifle - said purchase failed. Then I lost connection to EA online. Was down for 5 mins then came back up.

Went to buy my rifle and it is now saying I am only rank 0.

So ****ed off right now. Just lost probably the last 14hrs of play time. Like WTF???
 
I'm on this now but it be nice to play with some adults!

Anyone else having issues getting on tonight ? i've been trying for over an hour just keep getting unknown error occured.

Worst of all though just checked the battlelog and all my stats, unlocks, medals, are gone, was level 73 now i am level zero :confused: hope its just a glitch :mad:

Yes can't get on mp with ps4.

Just says connecting on home screen.


Edit* just got on now.
 
I'm stuck matching your skill at the moment, either I'm so awesome no one is playing near to my level or its broken. Latter is a fair bit more likely.

I had the same trying to get an Operation game and found the only way to get a game was through the Quickmatch but it keeps giving me the Italian one that is my least favourite. :(
