*** Battlefield 1 ***

AND YES BOYS IM IN NEW HOUSE :)

Move all sorted, what a weekend it's been. And I thought getting married was stressful lol

Although the killer is, new place has really naff network speeds  Highest I can get in a speed test here is 15-20mb  Got SkyQ ordered for the 18th September, also going to be gaming via wireless  so I'll doubt very much if I'll be competing at the top anymore :(

My new man cave, early days but work in progress.

So the BF1 Beta this week, I'll be trying to game on about 6mb broadband lmao. I'm not looking forward to the experience

R.e. Gaming on wireless, why not use powerline adapters? I've been using them for years now and it's so much better than wireless.

I have used wired and wireless and personally don't notice much difference between the 2 for online gaming, certainly doesn't affect my ability to top leader boards anyway :p

As long as the ISP connection for latency is somewhat good and he is using a decent router with a good wireless adapter, he will be fine.

Power line adapters are better than wireless USB/PCI adapters, however, you need to make sure you have good electrical wiring etc. for these to perform at their best.

Yeah but nexus your hacks mean you don't even really need the monitor so you're not a great comparison for what's needed or not :p.

Depends on the AP really my asus one only adds 2ms ping. Using the 5G I only lose ~ 1mb off my top download speed.

The power lines from my brief test of them before getting sent back produced worse results. Maybe I got the wrong set :(.

Bought the bt 600 flex kit yesterday, just wasn't sure how good they'd be, was kinda expecting them to be poop to be honest. Will try them tonight.

Nexus-bot v2 is so advanced it needs a good connection to process everything, without a good connection, it will fail :p

Could be but as said, could just be your electrical wiring not being up to scratch so no matter what you get, they might never be as good as actually being hard wired or even wireless PCI/USB adapters.

My TP link archer AC1200 on 5GHZ gives me 140-150mb of my 150MB connection, unfortunately virgins actual connection quality/latency isn't that great though but I make do with what I have :p

I will not be buying this, last one I got was BF4 and stopped playing it after a few months. They are just crap BF games now, why even bother making them for PC anymore.

So because you don't like a game the company should stop making the series totally??

Some people like me who have played EVERY bf since 1942 still love the games.
Yes they are quite different these days but still offer the best fun shooter out there imo
