Looks abit meh, might have bought if it was more like an arcadey version of Forgotten Hope.

Has been uber nerfed by the looks of it.

Loving the major historical innacuracies aswell, lol.

in an interview i saw just now, sorry lost link already

he said this has elements of battlefield heros

which is a pick up and play thats why they dumbed it down so much. the thing they EA & DICE are doing atm is create one BF, get money. get bored create another which people pick up and play for 30 hours and then by the next.

and they also asked if Battlefield 3 is a romour or not...the guys hesitated with the answer and said "Battlefield 3 is a romour".........and then said but d/w we havn't forgoten the real battlefield players......the closing statment was Battlefield 3 is a romour...or is it?

So there is one deffently in planning

I doubt that there won't be a Battlefield 3. It might be a different name, but it'll be there.

24 players because of console bandwidth limitations... is it too much effort to modify the game slightly for the PC??? Granted the physics needs bandwidth, might be too much indeed for 64 players, but what about 32 players? And what about just sticking in 64 players anyway, oneday we'll have plenty bandwidth to spare. Like how Crysis had video settings set above what the current hardware could handle. I'd like to see 128player matches in BF1942 or more, we could handle it now right?

PL: You mean PC and Xbox? No. It's more about fairness and balancing than anything else. The three different platforms have very different input systems. Obviously the mouse and keyboard is much more different, but even the PS3 controller and the 360 controller are different in terms of sensitivity and input and so on. So it wouldn't be fair. PC would obviously own everyone else!

People are still being tricked

It looks wonderful but you do a tiny bit of reading and find out there are only 3 classes, unlimited ammo, regen health and 3 maps. I'm extremely bitter.

Will give it a go if its not expensive. BF2 is still my favourite game, and I have played all the BF games from day one.

BUT we do need BF3 made purely for the pc (as its meant for

). Forget all this console rubbish and focus on what made the BF series a success in the first place.

From the trailer it looks pretty good, as long as they up the player cap for the PC and release some new maps.

I agree mate BF3 for PC, with the ussual bugs and no 1.3 patch which cost us £300 because our server was usless

out of interest how are people being tricked ? its common knowledge its a cheap online shooter with 3 maps etc etc etc. , people have a choice - buy it and play it - or dont buy it .. simple really

im not going to bother with bf 1943,its just bf1942 with the frostbite engine....im gonna wait for bad company 2 and the real bf3 when its released
