Bioware, owned by EA, release their multiplayer expansions for free.

I don't see why this would be any different, but oh well. Money money and all that.

ME3 had a pretty majority disappointment in the endings so I can see why.

DICE are just EAs latest cash cow and they'll be left to rot as soon as they can't bring in the big money. Battlefield 3 is mostly liked by the people who still play it, the game will be as good as dead this time next year in time for BC3. Sure they once said they wouldn't charge for map packs but apparently if you add in a dozen new weapon models with cloned stats then it's an expansion.

And what Boozer said, their MP revenue is gained through people purchasing reinforcement packs.

its a sales thread yes but feel free to talk about the game, its great to hear customer feedback on pre order products good and bad.
i know there are some bits of BF3 i would have liked to see evolve from BF2 core gameplay but imho BF3 is still the best pc fps title for a long time.

Surprisingly OcUK you are £1/2 cheaper than the other major online retailers out there (the rainforest and the playful one!) and when it comes to games, that is quite a shock!

One question though - OcUK pre-orders if I remember right, you bill the card from the date of purchase do you not? It isn't like some other sites were a pre-order you only bill the card when the item(s) are shipped? Although that could've changed since I last heard..

Fair enough.

I had another look and there is actually only 1 other (reputable) seller online that sells this game for cheaper and it is only by £1! But I have had previous experiences with them before and there shipping times for pre-orders are appauling!

So my first ever game has been pre-ordered on OcUK - free 1st class shipping too!

This isn't really 'maps' in the sense COD have map packs, this is a complete new game experience similar to special forces/euro/the other one for bf2.

Good price but I am also considering premium, though not really sure you save any money.

Personally I love BF3 because of the small and large maps (two very different types of play in the same game), and yes the maps arent as big as BF2 maps, but there is a hell of a lot more in them, they look a lot better and personally I never was a huge fan of the being stuck in the middle of nowhere thing that bf2 had going on.

I do hope that in one of the next packs they include European troops, vehicles and maps. It would be a nice change from just playing as the Americans and give the whole game a bit more of a global feel to it.

Because if the game doesn't work properly for you then everyone is having problems and the game is completely broken?

As for that comment, I really wish people would stop rolling that out. Taken out of context it's complete twaddle. The interview where that was said was PURELY and EXCLUSIVELY about Battlefield Bad Company 2. Now I didn't play it much, but I'm understanding that they issued several updates for free? never at any point did they say 'EVER, EVER FOREVER in any game that has the battlefield name in it, ever, scouts honour!'. again.
