battlefield 3 or COD?

well in case anyone was going to lose any sleep over weather or not I decided to get bf3, fear not, the purchase is done and now all I want to do is pull a sickie for the rest of the day!!!

CoD3? You've got CoD 4 and WAW the wrong way round, and there was a CoD 3 before them. It was the first one made by Treyarch I believe.

I'm looking forward to MW3's release, I don't intend to buy it but at least it'll mean all the CoD players will sod off and leave the rest of us to play the game properly.

Stop encouraging Activision to copy and paste the same game every year with a different number on the end. It's killing the genre.

The genre was dying long before CoD4 and the rest of them came along and Activision doesn't need any encouragement, they will carry on beating that horse until it is well and truly dead.

Seriously what was the last good FPS that really blew you away for MP? For me I can't think of anything since buying an Xbox to play Halo 2, which kept me hooked for 3 years until Halo 3. Now I will just buy what ever my friends have got, which will be MW3 and this will be the last MP FPS I play (unless something new blows me away like Halo 2 did).

Off topic a bit, but you can't blame CoD or the people who buy it for killing off a genre that ran out of ideas years ago.
