Battlefield 3 Performance Analysis

Just a quick read of the first few posts at EVGA shows them to be claiming what you say doesnt exist, and/or the games you have picked out to be bug and have memory leakage.

Not going to well for you there either, is it:D

As I said, my thread is to try to enlighten that "a decrease in average fps / adhoc min fps is not the only symptom of minor vram shortage". Whether you can or are willing to try to accept anything is up to you. I'm not forcing you. You know, teaching pupils about calculus is never an easy thing, especially if they think it's something bad.

Not doing very well are you, perhaps you should realise its a fiction of your imagination, surely users from two different forums telling you this doesn't exist should have triggered something in your brain that you are wrong.

Nope. Those cannot afford to switch to 3GB versions (or realise it's of poor value) would either attack or lurk. However, many of those who can afford 3GB have already been persuaded, but they don't want to draw hatred so stay low profile. (Someone even made a thread to complain that after reading my thread he wants to throw away his reference GTX580, but it's in a different language and you don't read.)

As I see it, if you want a minimum of 60 fps, moderate to high levels of AA and all other game settings maxed out while supporting a resolution substantially over 1920x1200, then I think there is truth in the argument for requiring more vram. Otherwise it's simply a non issue. Part of it is down to variables such as user preferences.

Stay low profile, or plain dont exist? is your head that twisted you think this?

Quoted the only correct thing you have said since signing up to these forums. Perhaps if you learned one of the three R's then you would realise you are wrong.

Indeed I've already realised that I'm wrong. Arguing with a fool is dragging yourself down to his level. Don't learn from me :D

Quote again (for those who is not smart enough to understand what is lag spikes / stuttering):

Yet again for the moronic cheap seats, the 6950 1gb firstly, wasn't available at launch, and secondly offers such a minimal saving....... YOU WOULD NOT BUY IT. In fact I don't think i've ever seen anyone with one, or who thinks they are good, or who has recommended one. £5 more for the 2gb version, who would buy the other one.

Likewise, who would need to run at 8xmsaa? no one, in anything but zoomed in views of small area's you'd find it almost impossible to see the difference between 4 and 8x, in some games the difference between 2x/8x is minor at best.

But anywhere, we're back to a situation where in ONE game, if you buy a stupid card no one on earth with a brain would buy.......... then you can FORCE situations in beyond high settings you do not require, to use more memory than you have.

Again, this isn't new, you were NOT the first and NOT the only person to say this, everyone knows this, your crusade is that the average user will see the difference all the time at this res. YOu make one argument but you CAN NOT PROVE IT. You find one game, with ridiculous settings, and a comparison between a card no one buys and a card everyone has.

For the same price of a 560ti 2gb, you could SAVE £30 and have a 2gb 6950, for £150 you can get a 1gb 560ti. If you do not have more than £170, you are not buying a 2gb card, if you have £180 or more you are not buying a 1gb card. Your argument is completely worthless.

Its also worth pointing out that Dragon age 2 runs much worse on Nvidia cards, and as such 8xmsaa would probably be unplayable on both a 2gb AND a 1gb 560ti, yet again ruling it as a game where MEMORY WILL NOT EFFECT YOU, unless you are the one in a million who bought a ridiculous 6950 1GB card.
