Battlefield 3 RETAIL Performance Thread

On another note for those that were saying 2Gb VRAM was more than enough for BF3 at 1920x1200, according to MSI afterburner my VRAM usage peaked at ~3200mb while playing, any never went below ~2400mb except in the round end screens

When did MSI Afterburner start showing VRAM usage for AMD cards?

i5 2500K @ 4.4GHZ, 8GB, Crossfire 6970's.

Havent seen less than 70FPS with all settings on ultra and 4xAA.

That said, I am getting a horrible stutter in places. Will try rolling back the drivers this evening.

Is the stutter people are experiencing constant? As in, it happens in an area and keeps happening, or does it only happen for a brief second?

I only got a slight pause when the game autosaves when going into a new area.

I've got a GTX 480 1.5GB and I've tried it on my 27" Hazro WC monitor @ 2560x1440 and on my girlfriends Dell 23" @ 1920x1080 monitor.

2560x1440:
Ultra: almost unplayable
High: playable, but I don't like it

1920x1080:
Ultra: playable, but I don't like it
High: absolutely fine

edit: mine stutters too, sometimes.

~60fps on medium, as high as 100 in quieter areas, nothing below 40.

Was going to order a 560ti 2gb or 6950 today, honestly not sure I'll bother now, even lower settings look fantastic.

Wonder if this is the CF scaling still not working, do you get massive drops in GPU usage when the stuttering hits?

I'm in the same boat but I've already put my GTX 260 on 'the bay' so need to make a decission soon. It's looking like a 560ti unless someone comes up with some miracle information in the next 12 hours!
