Battlefield 4 reveal coming on March 26th

Shame the video was a demo of SP but i guess they dont want to give much away before the Beta starts, looking at the GFX though it was quite stunning in places, like the woods section under the road my jaw dropped at that.

hopefully now its all official we will get updates with MP footage and what consoles will get what first and how many players.

I thought it looked incredible. The water, the textures, the light sourcing and particle effects, fire/explosions all blew me away. I asume this is being demo'd on a mega high end pc but its not confirmed.

We know it was running on a 7990 amd card, with good spec pc, it was also running at 3k res 60fps for the demos in the theatre.

This is out on Oct 29th according to an article accidently put up on xbox.com that was swiftly removed

Odd that its a monday.

Last time round we had to have it on Friday the 25th because "all games have to be released on a Friday in the uk" while the rest of the world got it a few days earlier on the Monday. Hopefully they learned from the backlash and are doing a simultaneous release across all regions this time round.

They may release on Xbox 360 on October 29 and on Nextbox on November xx if it doesnt come out till after that.

They are both coming "Holiday Season" so i can't see the next gen consoles being released much later than the first week or two of november.

It was one of the things the fans most requested from BF2 to be carried across, along with in game VOIP for the PC version.

I personally found it a bit of a gimmick and never really had a decent commander on my team, so didn't miss it.

But its interesting they've given in, and held it back to add as a "new" feature to BF4.

I used to be in a clan that ran its own BF2 server and if you got together enough players on Teamspeak working together then the Commander role could be really powerful. Playing on pubs generally turned into a bit of a shambles though.

Be interesting to see how it works on consoles when a large percentage of those players aren't interested in objectives or teamplay.
