There are two maps where I will do this every time: Zavod (two central points) and Siege of Shanghai. Here's why:

  • I get my entire squad, who are often on teamspeak to the central points
  • On these maps, controlling the central points are important. Esp on Siege as controlling C allows you to get to most points in the game
  • The point of this chopper is to transport people

When there are mini birds and attack choppers to use then why do you guys get so angry when I use the transport chopper for doing what it was intended to do. It's basically useless accept for transporting people.

ACW-R + silencer is a beast!!! Loving this gun at the moment.

For the first time last night all my friends were on, 4 of us in a squad and how much of a difference it makes! Pretty much got 1 of each class and going around absolutely destroying people.

On the map where the train is a point 3 of us held up 2 tanks and a APC with the only cover being a rock. Was quite funny watching when reverse back when only I had a RPG and the other 2 were support and a medic lol

That's true, it's not like joining the helicopter is restricted. However, a full of players on who are communicating on teamspeak and working together > jo pub typically squad.

It's a moot point as long as you can take the point first and typically that happens as people are still loading in.
 
Well I bought it to have a go and see how crap it runs on my system. Not as bad as expected but no chance of been competitive so its all about the flag hopping. One on ones = not a chance (although random hit reg makes it a joke anyway)

The game itself. What a complete and utter unfinished mess. Even for dice/ea this feels like their worst effort yet :(

But the game itself has a ton of potential so bring on the patches.

EDIT: as for people getting away quickly in heli's etc I often just hold off spawning till C has been taken. Spawn on C jump down to the next flag. The quicker the heli takes off the better providing the squad spawns in it and does their job.

I have my FOV at 90, I wondered why it wasn't zooming a little like in BF3, will have a play when i get home tonight....
 
Just tried to purchase it off the Mexican Origin store, but the payment wouldn't process. Very reluctant to pay full price for this... Although when the glaring issues are fixed, it looks to be rather good.
 
I have loved the little Domination I've played - seems to be a really nice mix of the chaos of TDM and the objective-based stuff of Conquest.

Obliteration I have only really played on Paracel Storm. Joined mid-round and spent a LOT of time dying and not much playing/having fun. Not sure if I was just not up to speed that day, but it just wasn't enjoyable. Had a few minutes of Oblit on little-railway-on-the-prarie too and that seemed better, but still not really given it a fair crack of the whip.

Hardcore is the best 1 shot kills with sniper, as it should be.
 
Really need to upgrade my Graphics Card. I knew it wouldn't run well on my GTX 260 as I had BF3, but looking at it on Ultra in 1080p looks immense. Will overclock my I5 2500k and get a new graphics card on my birthday me thinks. :D Also going to purchase a mechanical keyboard, very reluctant to spend over £60 on a keyboard though, but you guys have convinced me. Really enjoying what I've played so far, not really any crashes for me, but quite a bit of rubber banding which ruins it. :(

But you guys speaking so highly of the Storm Quickfire is making it a more difficult choice :p
