IWhile we are on the subject of hardware, this game really does suck the ram! Almost getting to 7GB

It is an acknowledged memory leak unfortunately. Play for long enough and your PC will grind to a halt. I get these, red screens, CTD's, sound loops. It's a great game!

I am starting slow with this game cos at the mo if I am honest I'm not really liking it, but one thing I do want to ask about is the markers for your own team members on hardcore.

I was on the Zavod map on a roof looking down through iron sights on a couple of guys running below, and it looked to me like only one of them had a visible blue dorito, even though they were both defo on my team. The second dorito only appeared when they got a bit closer. This happend several times and is obviously a major issue on hardcore. I am used to BF3 were the icons appeared miles across the map regardless. Is this working as intended or something to do with my setup?

I've had the same problem a few times. Had some tosspot kick off at me for team killing him earlier because the 'dorito' (lol) didn't appear quick enough.

Regarding core unparking: Well I seem to hold an average higher fps Aiming for 120, and it 'feels' smoother with them unparked. I haven't run any tests, just what it feels like.

Christ, anyone else get this invisible team markers on hardcore? How the hell is that supposed to work? This could very well cripple my enjoyment of this game as I only play hardcore. I don't mind no mini map or hit markers, but you should at least be able to tell who is on your team 100% of the time. This is too graphically intense for it to ever work like Red Orchestra.

so is there a overclockers server where people actually use teamwork ?

literally every server i go on is full of chumps who jump in vehicles at spawn and don't even think about letting anyone else get in with them, or just people who don't even care about the objectives.

Had a lovely game earlier trying to rank up my sniper rifles.

Kept killing these BCB guys, and then their clanmates on my team started team killing me nearly every time I spawned. I then complained about this in the server chat and guess what "you were banned, stated reason: killing too many bcb members".
I guess it was a BCB server then

Does anyone find long range sniping is terribly innacurate? Most of it is 300m away and you can only zero in 200m intervals. I have actually found the standard rifle better than the M40a5 for long range.

Not just invisible markers but even markers that show up as friendly turn out to be enemies! Ala BF2 lol

There is a post on battlelog about this, apparently the missing team markers ONLY apply to squad leaders. Some say you have to aim at them for a second for the marker to appear. Needless to say, if this is working as intended, then if you want to avoid being constantly team killed, do not become squad leader.

I've finally got a great balance between how the game looks and a decent framerate. My settings are now:

I'm getting an average of around 70fps using a modest 7850 2GB and FX6300 CPU. Paracel Storm did still look great and I actually got a max of 124fps at one stage before the storm hit. :)

Frames: 36119 - Time: 509954ms - Avg: 70.828 - Min: 50 - Max: 98

I'm enjoying the AK-5C with the RDS at the moment. My aim is definitely improving. There was another occasion last night when I unloaded on someone yet he just wouldn't go down. It was as if he was ******* Robocop.

When you unlock some of the other sniper rifles you will be able to snipe further, oh and the x20 scope helps :D
