I had a run of terrible games last night, I was getting killed left right and centre, it was bloody annoying. I'm not 100% settled on my settings either. I love the eye candy, but I can't handle dips in framerate. I also had an issue where no matter what settings I used my framerate was AWFUL. I seem to have fixed that now.
Is Windows 8.1 worth an upgrade? I did the check thing last night and it said all my apps were compatible, but that I'd have to reinstall them all again, which I don't really fancy.

There is a program called BF4 Settings editor from realmware which I use to set settings outside of game, this might work for you, all it does is create your settings fileMy Battlefield 4 crashes instantly when I try to change video settings ingame, has anyone else experienced this? I cant change them at all otherwise
Really don't like the game. Planetside 2 has spoiled me. It just feels empty, there are more vehicles than infantry. Had a few crashes as well. It's just a bit boring and same ole'. Gutted that I bought the premium as well before trying the game out.

Yes. If you don't like battlefield, BF4 isn't the game for you.....

Having quite a few servers crash on me now, don't know if that's just playing domination, but I've not seen any server crashes while playing conquest.
Nah, I liked Bad Company 2 and BF3. I just think the maps on this are too big for the tiny 64 players that it has and there are too many vehicles. It's either getting annihilated by air and tanks or a rooftop sniper farm. I'll just sell my premium code when I get it, if I am able to do that.
there are various different crashes with varying reasons. i think there will be a patch soon to address most common bugs.

Wait for the infantry only servers to start becoming more popular (at the moment most are vanilla and handful of hardcore) - that'll solve the vehicle issue and most camping issues as they'll use the more infantry friendly smaller maps.
Really? I'm crashing every 15-20mins. Sometimes midgame/ start of new map/ whole server crash and a lot of servers with rubber band effect.
I definitely think it has a lot more colour than BF3 but having recently updated to the latest Nvidia drivers my FPS has dropped from over 100 to average about 60... Very odd.
