hi .... i've tried and i've tried but i can't play online - 'Unable to connect to servers' .......

..they are probably down? .... or are they?

By looking at past history and learning from their mistakes? The beta servers went down for maintainence and were swamped when they came online again causing them to be taken offline again for several hours. Apparently that wasn't big enough of a hint and they somehow expected less people to be playing it on release day....
 
8am tomorrow morning is ridiculous , on a friday night like this I'm sure there are people working on it.

There's no excuse for this long of a maintenance on release day.

Its not Maintenance, looks like something called "EA's back end Plasma" broke

I had a server message from Multiplay becuase of the server we've got saying the following:

Battlefield Bad Company 2 - Plasma Down
Mar 05 2010 21:42:02 by liv3d

I'm afraid EA's back end Plasma has died causing all BC2 servers to empty / crash.

Servers currently down will be unable to restart until Plasma is back up and running

Guys, just downloaded this and when I try to go online it's asking for a Serial. Where the hell do I find this bloody serial as it's not in the email I got from STEAM!! This is more painful than it should be, surely.

It will be the same as other online games bought through steam.

Right click the game in my games, and its in one of the drop down menus.

Thanks, it was late last night when the game arrived from download so I was being a **** and entering the details wrong I suspect, all sorted now.
 
Iv had 3 full games since i got the game. I always crash on map switch, connecting via server browser always comes up "please wait" then dissapears. Or if i join a empty server to practice flying i always get "server is full".

When i click play now on all maps all gametype I will either get "server is full" "please enter password" "error connecting to server" or a very long please wait followed by a crash to desktop.
