Battlefield Heroes

It was OK during beta. When it went live, it went all horribly wrong with the pricing structure changes.

Free to play, pay to have fun.

I played it for a bit, you continually get owned by the people who have paid for the better weapons.

The default equipment isn't especially good and the things you unlock don't seem to stay unlocked, you need to re-earn them.

Its a superb game let down by the equipment system. Its a real shame as its otherwise almost the perfect 'casual' shooter. Excellent vehicles in it- great fun running people over in tanks/jeeps.

People can buy medikits/powerups as well as more powerful weapons so your at a massive disadvantage without paying. It really suffers compared to games like Team Fortress 2 where without paying money you will be at a disadvantage initally but at least you have other routes to getting the items.

Was good in closed beta and open beta till November 09. Then they decided to stab people in the back.

If you do decide to keep playing, do not trust the developers or put any faith in anything they say.

U get free battlefunds from things like buying battlefield bad company 2. 700bf, sign up to newsletter and u got 200BF once. I have got unlimited weapons on my characters without paying a £. I used the Dr. Pepper codes that I was saving for the BFBC2 specact dlc (which turned out to be pay only) on 1 or 2 costumes for my characters.

I play the soldier mainly because he has a free in-game heal unlike the commando and gunner who need to either use vp or bf to purchase self-heal.

I haven't played it as much as i did in closed/open beta but its nice to revisit it for the new maps.
