I was making this thread to discuss thoughts on the whole Bf series.

Whats your favourite ever bf games?
What do you play now?
What has been your faourite maps in bf history?

Whats your favourite game modes?

I liked bf:vietnam and bf194 desert comabt mod the best.
I liked no fly zone on desert combat and el almein
I liked nearly all of bf:vietnam maps equally barre 2.

I found the range of maps and playabilty of bf:veintam the best. The helicpoters and jets were effective and easy to control. Tanks were well balanced and effective without being overpowering. The maps were layed out nicely.

Ive always been a fan of conquest but try the other modes now and then.

I play BF3 now just becuase its new and though I had more fun on previous Bf games they are just dated and lack players/servers and poorer graphics, lack of destutibilty etc..
 
Only played bf3, but i wish i picked bf over cod back when bf2 was new :(. a lot more fun then running around stabbing people in the hand from a mile away and killing them imo

BF2 when it came out. Simply immense.

What do you play now?
BF3, but I had put in over 300 hours on BF2 and BC2 each.

What has been your faourite maps in bf history?
Strike at Karkand, Sharqi Peninsula, Mashtuur City (all BF2 maps).

Whats your favoutire mods?
I never bothered modding the game itself, but I did do a few simple file renames to remove all the open-game introduction crap on BF2.

Whats your favourite game modes?
I prefer conquest (on maps that aren't crap stalemates). I do like rush but too often are the teams imbalanced - Not in terms of numbers, but in terms of skill.

Battlefield 2, 2142, BF3 Best being BF2

What do you play now?
Bf3

Gulf of Oman, Wake Island, Mashtuur City, Strike at Karkand and maybe Dragon Valley

Whats your favoutire mods?
No mods but liked the Special forces expansion pack for BF2

Whats your favourite game modes?
Conquest and sometime abit of TDM if i'm coming from another game just to get familiar with it again.

I also agree that as fun as levelling up and attrachetns and perks can be, sometiems I miss the pure old balanced fun of old games.

Chose your class, eneter game, play, kills+capute flags....no xp, no history etc..
 
Desert Combat for 1942 was the absolute dogs *******


Mobile Artillery, Flying around with your mates in the AC-130 and base jumping out of the back when it got shot down.

Epic tank battles over GuadalCanal

All on the 50klicks server. Those were the days.
 
BF2 Infantry only 64 man server, Any street map, **** it ! Any map to be honest.

Playing MW3 now on PS3, I have BF3 but the controls feel clunky so I'm waiting for a patch or fifty.

What do you play now? BF3 - bugs and issues will soon push me to something else though unless they get sorted

Titan mode easily.
 
It's hard really as i enjoy the ones i have played, but BF:1942 with the Star Wars mod is my favourite.
