Does anyone still play this ? Not a big fan of bad company series love BF2 thinking of getting Vietnam for some old school action. :D (That's if there's still servers running)

I picked this up few months back for like £1.50. Haven't played in a bit but I'm pretty sure servers were still up

I still have it on my shelf, I loved this game and the BC2 Vietnam expansion is not quite the same.... Quite happy to play a bit of this if people want to do so though!

I loved this when it came out and must have logged a huge amount of hours on it. Keep thinking about digging it out for another play but never got around to it. Bad Company is good but I miss the massive maps of the older games.

Nice where did you manage to find it for that price? been in town had not luck finding a new copy :(

Although Bad Company is great game its just not Battlefield, I will try and grab a copy for Vietnam.

I missed the large maps the planes etc, never owned Vietnam just BF2 and 1943. I still play BF2 to this day great game.

No Planes in Vietnam if I remember correctly, but helicopters and boats.... Spent hours just trying to pick up a speeding boat from a helicopter with the grapple!

Considering it was both a FPS and online, I was actually quite good at BF: Vietnam, despite the horrifically laggy 40 player EA servers. It must be said that BF:V had a fine soundtrack too.

Their were planes, Phantoms and old Migs iirc

You had to spawn quick to get 'em though! :D

My own preffered tactic was to steal the yankee choppers or stick dynamite on them and then blow them up after someone else flew off! Either that or driving around in a jeep running over GI's while playing 'Nowhere to Run' or 'Get Ready' on the radio. Ah, 2004, good times.

Haha used to the same on BF2 if I failed to get into the helicopter 1st, C4 and boom fire works

It was brilliant but came out at the wrong time as COD iirc was really taking shape and as such a lot of players skipped BF:V

Sticking the radio on in a jeep or huey was class though, just blazing around - iirc the LAW combo was the daddy on that game until thye patched it.

No way! Phantoms were awesome. We (uni housemates) used to spend ages playing Vietnam. I can still here all the music and voice chatter. BFBC2:V just doesn't have the same feel.

I couldn't fly a heli for ****, but mastered the planes. One of the house was an expert heli pilot and used to come and pick us up if we bailed out. Pop smoke and wait for rescue. Was awesome.

BFV: World War 2 mod, created by DICE , adds few 1941 levels
Can you have dedicated servers for lan/web? i cant remember

They should make this game free like did with the original command and conquer games
