Battlefield2 how to land planes...?

This was actually a bad landing but hey I lived, I got the approach all wrong so had to compensate and dive a little so lost a bit of armor there and overdone on the "brakes" so started hovering in the end. Still you should get the idea of how to do it, approach and speed are the important bits. I'm still against landing though, you'll just get picked off by another jet while landing or waiting to take off or if that doesn't happen some other "pilot" will TK you with M95 and take it.

i can land on the mountains in dalian plant

and on the dam in kurba dam... SKILLAGE...
i start my apporach about 400 i think off the top of my head

I can land at those quite easily, its just a matter of knowing the flight path for an easy run in.

then again realistically an aircraft carrier would be moving where as in BF2 it is static, you shouldnt really need to land unless you need some serious repairs, in that case just go into a hover and slowly go over the AC or land using the hover,

Tip: Strap some C4 to the front of your Heli/Jet when taking off so that if another Aircraft decides to suicide in to you, you get the kill

Also makes a bit better impact on tanks if you suicide instead of landing.

Might not want to try it with a full BH though
