Okay it may have been something to tell Adama to get him to complete the mission, but it's what the Cylons did to the Caprican Central Database (with the help of Baltar) 40 years later!!

Hope a series is picked up off the back of how many web-hits these websodes have gotten!! :)

Was gonna say not a chance but episode one is upto almost 2.5m hits now tho the rest still lagging a bit - would need to be getting around that many hits per episode in the first few days after upload for a network to consider comissioning a whole proper TV show unfortunatly.

Given how much interest there has been in this and the halo forward unto dawn series tho I suspect some networks are taking an interest in exploiting that potential.
 
in the past i would say that if it did well, i would say their an 80-90% chance that scifi would pick it up as 13ep series to see how well it does with the option to order another 9 episode, before talks of a second season. but these days the rebranded syfy i say their little chance of it. as for some other network picking it up, it depend what contracts are with syfy and creators of blood and chrome to weather they are allow to shop around at other broadcasters. now if their were allow to shop around it be a cable type channel like hbo, cinemax etc. i highly douth channels like fox, cw, nbc etcx would pick it up as they haven't done a lot of scifi type show of late.

more than 2.5m tbh, not everyone watches it on the same spot.

I doubt syfy have the balls to let this roll out and make them money but we shall see
 
They're talking about making a "second season" after they gague the feedback (guessing how many dvds they sell), no idea whether that means a proper season or just another episode split into teeny bits again.
 
Have been slowly working my way through the TV series again - pretty chuffed to have this to look forward to at the end!
 
nice series.... I guess if u add all the episodes its like a 2 episode long show lol

but nice action/drama.... sadly we all know how it turns out though/

I feel they need to do something newish perhaps not in the bsg universe, sadly any scifi series is doomed from start due to recession and budget and fact it gets downloaded/streamed before its released which simple cuts the show before season 2/

It was already canned. These webisodes were originally the pilot but they decided not to pick it up as a series so chopped it up and did this instead. We can only hope that they sell enough of the unrated DvD's when they come out next month for them to change their minds.
 
The full length combined version is now out which I'd been waiting for to watch. Perhaps expectations were lower for short webisodes but for a full length "movie" it's easy to see how this got dropped.

Don't get me wrong, I'd put the re-imagined BSG in my Top5 shows of all time and even Caprica was watchable but this was dire. The acting was the worst I've seen, especially the guy playing Adama (did he go to the Keanu Reeves acting school?), the special effects were so low budget they looked like rubber toys (the lizard thing on the ice planet...) and the characters were all uncompelling.

I would love to have seen more BSG if it was made by Ron Moore but this wasn't and it shows. Frankly it deserved to get canned.
 
I haven't watched it all in one go yet, but even when watching the webisodes there were some not great moments.

For me it was one of those occasions where it could have been better if they'd have tried to do less and focused more on the characters.
